Design and Technology (DT)

Design and Technology is a foundation subject within the National Curriculum.

The teaching of Design and Technology, as with all National Curriculum subjects, is an avenue for addressing the very individual needs of our children which may not be subject specific. Rocklands School endeavours to establish relevant targets for all pupils who share equal access to a cross curricular and structural Design and Technology programme. There are many overlaps between the Design and Technology curriculum and the Art and Design curriculum, these are all taken into account when planning and assessing the subject.
