Supporting Romania in SEND
In 2024 we started to support a charity in Romania, Pater Noster to share Rocklands excellent practice. A team of four specialist from our school spent a week in the country in October 2024 talking to social workers, teachers, psychologists and charity workers on topics such as autism, communication, sensory integration and behaviour. In March 2025 their team spent a week at Rocklands deepening their knowledge of SEND practice to share wider with their community in Romania.
We have committed to a four-year programme where the Romania Charitable organisation has found an initial school which they have secured funds for. We will be their consultant school for support and training at key points throughout the period of time. Their end goal is to create a flagship school for their country to show others a new way of supporting SEND.
